Many companies offer their customers the opportunity to buy products or services online. To ensure that customers know which provider they are dealing with, lawmakers have introduced a requirement for a site notice to appear on websites.
A site notice must include the following information:
Business name Chamber of commerce Legal form (for legal entities) Business address Email address or other information for direct contact Tax ID
A site notice is like a business card. It gives shoppers an idea of the company or person behind the website they are browsing—and also lets them take legal action against bad actors if necessary.
