What is a shop system?

A shop system is the software used to create an online shop. It is the prerequisite for an online shop, forming the framework and offering an expandable modular design. Most shop systems include these basic elements: a shop database with product information, an administration database, presentation systems, a payment gateway for payment, a web tracking system, and usually a number of additional tools.

What are the most common shop systems?

The most common shop systems on the market are Magento, Shopware, Oxid e-Sales, JTL, and Plentymarkets. Just a few simple clicks is all it takes to integrate our payments modules into all these systems.

What is Shopware?

Shopware is the modular online shop system offered by the company of the same name. It was first published in 2004 as open source software. Shopware lets online merchants design their shops in a flexible and customizable way. Just  like with Magento, a large online community is active in shaping the online shop system.
