We would like to inform you that we will be discontinuing the Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) payment method Flexipay, also known as Heidelpay-Rechnungskauf, on 1 November 2026.
Why we are discontinuing Flexipay
We are making this decision because we have further developed our product portfolio over recent years and are now able to offer you a market-leading and more powerful BNPL platform as an alternative.
For this reason, the product Flexipay (BNPL) will be discontinued.
Transition timeline
To give you sufficient time for planning, please find below the relevant deadlines in connection with the discontinuation of Flexipay:
- From 31 May 2026, you will no longer be able to perform new captures or reservations.
- Up to and including 31 October 2026, you will only be able to perform follow-up transactions. These include credit notes, returns and cancellations of existing Flexipay transactions. From this date, no further adjustments or transactions will be possible.
- From 1 November 2026, we will fully discontinue Flexipay and will no longer process any transactions.
Alternative solutions
Over recent years, we have established one of the leading Buy Now, Pay Later products on the market — one that is even more flexible and customer-friendly. Well-known merchants such as Bergfreunde, Tamaris and EMMA Matratzen have been using our new BNPL platform for several years and are achieving even higher acceptance and conversion rates as a result. With the discontinuation of Flexipay, we will of course not leave you without support. We are happy to advise you personally, present you with suitable options and guide you step by step through the transition, so that the switch is as smooth as possible for you. Please don't hesitate to reach out!
Important note on API credentials when switching systems
Depending on your technical setup, you will receive new credentials for test and live operations as part of the transition. These credentials are essential for smooth operation — please enter them carefully in the designated fields. Only when the new credentials are in use can the switch be completed fully and successfully.
Important for plugin users:
Some plugins offer multiple variants for invoice purchase. Please enter the newly received API credentials only in the variant that is not marked as "outdated" or "legacy".
