What is a white label solution?

A product or service is called white label when they are rebranded under a name different than their manufacturer's. That is, the manufacturer itself does not appear in connection with the solution. White labeling is practiced in various industries, most frequently in manufacturing and online.

What does white labeling mean in the manufacturing sector?

White labeling is a common practice in manufacturing. An example: A manufacturer sells a product to a discounter, who in turn rebrands and sells the product under their own brand. The manufacturer may still sell the product under its own brand, which is often the case. White labeling has many advantages, including appealing to various target groups with the same product and allowing vendors to outsource production.

What does white labeling mean online?

White label solutions are products or services that were developed or created by one provider for integrated use on another website using the latter's look and feel, i.e. the layout and design of the white label solution is adapted to the user's brand.
