Tipping function with cash register integration

We are frequently asked whether the tipping function is possible in combination with a cash register integration.

The answer is: only if the cash register provider supports it.

Since the amount transmitted from the cash register to the card terminal changes due to the addition of a tip, the cash register system must be capable of accepting the updated amount.
