Is the payment fraudulent?

Fraudulent intent cannot be generally determined based on specific parameters; each case must be considered individually.
Our risk checks can help limit and minimize potential risks. However, you as the merchant still have a duty to cooperate. If you suspect that a payment may be fraudulent, feel free to contact us.
In general, the following procedure is recommended in cases of suspicion:
- Open the detailed order view in Unzer Insights under "Orders"
- Check the plausibility of the data (bank country, address, IP country, email address). Geographical inconsistencies or meaningless email addresses can be an indication of fraudulent behavior.
- If your suspicion persists, please contact us via the contact form.
