Telephone Authorization of a Payment

With some banks that issue credit cards, telephone authorization is required to successfully complete a credit card payment. The need for telephone authorization is often indicated with the code FEP 02 during a credit card transaction.

In this step-by-step guide, we show you how to perform a credit card payment using telephone authorization.

Through the telephone authorization service of the respective credit card, you will receive an approval number for the upcoming payment.

Selection Menu

Here you see your starting display.

Please press the Selection Menu button.

Tel. Authorization

Please select the menu item Tel. Genehmigung.

Password Entry

Please enter your 6-digit merchant password and confirm the entry with the green OK button on the display.

Payment

Here, select the menu item Payment.

Approval No.

Please enter the approval number you received here.

You will receive the approval number through the telephone authorization service of the respective credit card.

Amount Entry

Please enter the payment amount and confirm the entry with the green OK button.

Present Card

Please present the customer’s card.
